The Ĺ has written to the Prime Minister pointing out that one measure the Commonwealth could take to improve the capability of police and emergency services is to provide mobile broadband communications for first responders. This capability will be in place for the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Brisbane through a temporary arrangement but for the rest of Australia, 20th century communications continue.
